7- Day Itinerary
A Journey Shaped by Nature
This itinerary is flexible and may change depending on weather, wind and sea conditions to ensure the safest and best possible experience for guests.
No two expeditions are ever exactly the same — and that’s part of the magic.
Day 1
Arrival in Svolvær & Sail to Skrova
Guests meet in the vibrant harbor town of Svolvær in the afternoon.
After a welcome onboard with coffee, tea and snacks, we go through a safety briefing and get to know the crew and fellow guests before setting sail.
Our first short sailing passage takes us to the beautiful island of Skrova — famous for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters and dramatic views.
In the evening, we hike to the summit overlooking the surrounding islands before enjoying our first peaceful night at anchor beneath the Arctic sky.
Day 2
Skrova to Henningsvær
After breakfast onboard, we continue west through narrow sounds and spectacular scenery toward the iconic fishing village of Henningsvær.
Known as the “Venice of Lofoten,” Henningsvær is one of Norway’s most picturesque coastal settlements, filled with art galleries, cafés, cod drying racks and colorful fishing cabins.
We spend the evening ashore exploring the town, enjoying local restaurants, drinks and the lively atmosphere before staying overnight in the marina right in the center of town.
Day 3
Henningsvær to Nusfjord
On day 3 we sail further south through some of Lofoten’s most dramatic landscapes toward the historic fishing village of Nusfjord.
This beautifully preserved village offers a glimpse into traditional Arctic fishing life and is considered one of Norway’s oldest and best-preserved fishing communities.
In the evening, the group enjoys a shared dinner at a local restaurant, included in the trip price, featuring fresh seafood and regional Norwegian cuisine.
We spend the night surrounded by towering mountains and quiet waters.
Day 4
Nusfjord to Flakstad
We sail through Nappstraumen to Flakstad where sharp granite peaks rise directly from the fjord while traditional red fishermen’s cabins line the shoreline. The afternoon is free to explore ashore, photograph the scenery, hike nearby trails or simply relax onboard and soak in the atmosphere.
As evening arrives, we anchor or dock beneath some of the most breathtaking mountains in the Arctic. Hike: Reinebringen
Day 5
Flakstad to Hauklandstranda
On day 5 we round the southern tip of Lofoten and begin sailing north along the wild outer coastline facing the open Norwegian Sea.
Depending on conditions, we head toward either Unstad or Flakstad — famous for Arctic surfing and stunning white sand beaches.
Guests can go ashore for a surfing experience, relax on the beach, explore the coastline or simply enjoy the atmosphere of one of the world’s most unique surf destinations.
Tonight we anchor in a remote bay, sharing stories, games, good food and quiet moments under the midnight sun or northern skies.
Day 6
The Great Sailing Day
An early start marks our longest and most rewarding sailing leg of the expedition.
This is a true ocean sailing day — uninterrupted sailing beneath towering mountains, remote beaches and endless Arctic horizons.
There is time to truly settle into life at sea: reading on deck, spotting sea eagles, dolphins or whales, helping sail the boat, or simply enjoying the silence and rhythm of the ocean.
By evening, we arrive at another secluded anchorage where we cook dinner onboard, relax together and enjoy one final magical night in the Arctic wilderness.
Day 7
Trollfjord & Return to Svolvær
On our final day, we sail into the spectacular Trollfjord — one of Norway’s most dramatic fjords.
Steep granite walls rise vertically from the sea as we slowly navigate deep into the narrow fjord surrounded by waterfalls, sea eagles and breathtaking scenery.
After lunch onboard, we begin our final sail back toward Svolvær.
Back in harbor, we share a final meal, stories and memories from the adventure before disembarkation.
