Ålesund to Åndalsnes
This is the journey we're running this May. Six days of coastal hiking and fjord sailing, from the open sea at Alnes to the alpine peaks above Romsdalen. Dates are flexible through the month and the week can be shaped around your group. Here's a taste of how the days unfold.
Day 1
Arrival & Alnes Lighthouse
Pick-up at Vigra, Ålesund. We sail to Alnes, a classic West Coast fishing village, and hike up Alnesfjellet for sweeping ocean views. The evening winds down with a sauna session overlooking the North Sea. A gentle start to settle into life onboard.
Day 2
A Full Day Under Sail
We depart Alnes for a full day of relaxed coastal sailing. Evening mooring in Brattvåg or a nearby sheltered harbor. Time to unwind, learn the ropes, and enjoy the rhythm of the sea.
Day 3
Midsund Steps & Rørsethornet
We sail to the island of Otrøya and set out on the famous Midsundtrappene. Stone steps lead up to the airy ridge of Rørsethornet, one of Norway's most spectacular hikes. Panoramic views stretch across islands and open sea.
Day 4
Into the Fjords
Morning sail into the dramatic fjord system. We arrive in Åndalsnes, surrounded by steep peaks, and close the day with an evening yoga session. A calm transition from coastal landscapes to alpine terrain.
Day 5
Littlefjellet: Hike & Bike
A morning bike ride and hike to Littlefjellet, a short but iconic viewpoint above Romsdalen. Optional evening sauna. A day of varied movement with unforgettable views of Trollveggen.
Day 6
Nesaksla & Romsdalen Eeggen Dinner
We hike Nesaksla, a classic Romsdalen summit. The trip ends with a celebratory dinner inspired by the flavors of Romsdalseggen and local producers. A final celebratory evening surrounded by the mountains you've explored.
